Hello. I’m Jeremy Jorgensen, the guy who runs Why Edify.

I'm developing a framework to help teachers navigate the challenges of the teaching profession by cultivating their resilience and leveraging the power of reflection for personal growth.

This newsletter is a way to share what I’m learning.

Each STRONG Teacher Newsletter will serve up a small dose of inspiration, a resource to reflect on, and an affirmation to provide a motivational boost and remind you how awesome you are.

The shared resources will provide information that has the potential to enhance your mind, body, or spirit. They range from productivity tips to well-being, fitness, resilience, and self-care.

What’s with these affirmations?

Some people think that only “New Agey” people use affirmations. They might even remind you of Stuart Smalley from Saturday Night Live. The truth is, there is scientific evidence to show they work. They work for students and adults alike. "Practicing daily positive affirmations can help you overcome fear and self-doubt and reduce self-sabotage. Daily positive affirmations help you believe in yourself and what you can achieve." In other words, they help people deal with the challenges of being alive.

Right now, my goal is to send at least one STRONG Teacher newsletter per week. Thank you for being a part of our growing community of dedicated educators. Share this newsletter with your colleagues.

Thank you.
