Three Things: Contagious Enthusiasm, Discomfort, and Perspective

I.

Enthusiasm is contagious. My wife is nuts about Wizard Quest and this has rubbed off on our children. Don’t hold back your passion, you never know who might need the inspiration.

II.

Teachers need to remember what it feels like to be uncomfortable and awkward. Those moments provide a great opportunity for growth. Try doing some things that scare you every once in a while.

III.

Being a parent changed how I approached teaching, even more so when I had my daughter in class. I started to run everything through the lens of “What if this were my kid?" Be open to shifting your paradigms.
