Three Things: Gift of Time

One of the major stressors of teaching is not ever having enough time to do everything. Whenever more time presents itself, it’s a gift.

I.

I participated in a restorative yoga session this morning at the beginning of a professional development day. In the middle of the session, it was apparent to me that I need more of these types of activities in my life.

The point of restorative yoga is to activate the parasympathetic nervous systems. This helps the body rest, heal, and it restores balance. I’m going to try the fish pose tonight.

It was nice to have some time to take care of business as part of a professional development day. I was able to grade lab reports and fine-tune a test that students will take later in the week.
