Before anything else today, I want to say thank you. Thank you for reading these weekly reflections.

Thank you for being part of this small but mighty community of teachers who show up for their students, for each other, and—slowly but surely—for yourselves.

Your presence here matters. Your work matters. And I’m grateful you choose to spend a few minutes with me each week.

Today feels like the right moment to pause, breathe, and make space for what you’ve carried these past few months, which brings us to this week’s theme.

A Soft Landing Into December

The days between Thanksgiving and the start of December have a unique energy.

Part anticipation. Part exhaustion. Part “How is it already December next week?”

Teachers feel this shift more deeply than most. You’ve navigated the demands of fall, adjusted to student needs, balanced school life with home life, and somehow kept moving even when the tank flickered near empty.

So instead of pushing into the weekend with urgency, let’s try something different: Let’s land the month gently.

Try this short reflection—one that creates a little breathing room for the days ahead:

Three Questions for a Calm December Start:

  1. What’s one thing I can release before December arrives?
  2. What’s one thing I want to carry intentionally into the new month?
  3. What’s one small ritual that helps me feel grounded when life starts to accelerate?

Your answers don’t have to be perfect or profound.

Just honest.

Just yours.

This Week’s Resource

If you haven’t grabbed it yet, here’s the 12-Day Holiday Challenge Tracker — your companion for the first phase of the STRONG Teacher Winter Reset starting December 1.

🙏
Gratitude can be a Teacher Superpower!

Why This Matters

You pour their energy outward all year long.

The December stretch can feel like a sprint, but it doesn’t have to be. The Winter Reset is built to help you reclaim small pieces of yourself: your focus, your peace, your rhythm, your breath.

Not by adding more.

But by subtracting what no longer serves you.

This season can feel lighter.

You deserve that.

With Gratitude,

Jeremy
