Resource

One of the most empowering things a teacher can do is clarify their personal and professional values at the start of a school year—or even midstream. Take ten minutes this week to write down your top three teaching values (e.g., compassion, equity, curiosity). Then, post them somewhere visible—on your desk, planner, or phone background.

Use these as a compass when navigating tricky decisions, classroom management choices, or curriculum planning. When you're anchored in what truly matters, the noise quiets and the path becomes clearer.

Now Repeat…

I am grounded in my values. They guide my choices, protect my energy, and help me teach with clarity and courage.

Journal Prompt
