Athletes have recovery built into their training schedule. Teachers don’t.

Which means you have to build it yourself. The R in STRONG—Recovery and Renewal—exists because nobody else is putting rest on your calendar. Your administration won’t. Your to-do list won’t.

If you wait for a natural pause in the work, you’ll wait forever. Recovery isn’t passive. It’s a decision. What does your version look like? A walk at lunch. Five minutes in your car before you walk in.

A Sunday that stays Sunday. It doesn’t have to be elaborate.

It has to be non-negotiable.
