Week 0: Thrive This Summer — It Starts Today
This summer is different.
School is out. Or it soon will be.
And if you're anything like most teachers I know, you are looking forward to some peace and quiet, maybe a few summer projects, and using the bathroom whenever you want.
That's exactly where this series begins.
Starting today, I'm running Thrive This Summer — an 8-week well-being series for educators who want this summer to actually feel like something. Not a recovery sprint before the next school year. Not a to-do list with better lighting. Something real.
"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time." — John Lubbock, The Use of Life
Each Wednesday for 8 weeks, you'll get one email. One theme. One practical tool you can actually use.
Here's what's coming:
- Week 1 — The Power of the Pause. Rest isn't a reward. It's where we begin.
- Week 2 — Declutter the Mind. Make space for clarity — not by fixing things, but by putting them down.
- Week 3 — Movement That Restores. Reconnect with your body without the pressure to perform.
- Week 4 — Nourish to Flourish. Fuel yourself like you matter.
- Week 5 — Feel It to Free It. Build emotional resilience without shutting down.
- Week 6 — Strengthen Your Center. Reconnect with your core values and what anchors you.
- Week 7 — Reimagine the Return. Step into the new school year with clarity, not chaos.
- Week 8 — Build Your STRONG Start. Carry everything forward — with intention.
Eight weeks. No pressure. Just space to breathe, reflect, and actually take care of yourself.
One thing before we start
If you want to get more out of the series, I've put together a companion workbook — Thrive This Summer: A Teacher's Well-Being Companion. It includes the full newsletter text for each week, along with worksheets, reflection prompts, and practical tools, all in a single, designed PDF you can work through at your own pace.
It's in my Ko-fi store. No subscription, no community required — just a clean, well-made resource for teachers who want everything in one place.

You don't need it to follow along. The series is completely free. But if you like to write things down and go deeper, it's there.
I give myself permission to begin slowly — the rest will follow.
First email lands next Wednesday.
I'm glad you're here.
