Three Good Things
Here are a few small steps toward feeling more present, energized, and grounded in your work and life.
This week, I'm experimenting with a different newsletter format. I've been writing this newsletter for a little over three years now, and I've most enjoyed sharing ideas and tips that help teachers become happier, healthier, and stronger.
I've also appreciated the positive feedback from many of you (thank you!). Let me know what you think of the new format.
As we step into a new week, take a deep breath. If you haven’t yet finished school for the summer, like me, you are probably dealing with higher-than-usual stress. Here are a few small steps toward feeling more present, energized, and grounded in your work and life.
Happier
Name three good things.
Take one minute today to name three good things — anything from the smell of your coffee to a kind word from a student. This simple gratitude practice boosts mood and builds resilience.
Healthier
The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise.
Feeling frazzled? Try this mindfulness technique:
- 5 things you can see
- 4 things you can touch
- 3 things you can hear
- 2 things you can smell
- 1 thing you can taste
A quick way to come back to the present.
Stronger
Reflect on one success from last week.
What’s one moment that felt like a win — big or small? Jot it down. Anchoring to a recent success builds confidence and a sense of momentum.

Why Edify Recommendation
- I added a new shirt to the store this week. It’s connected to this newsletter's “Happier” section. Here it is. Make sure you zoom in on the image.
With gratitude,
